Bahar Zaeem

With over a decade in interior design, Bahar brings together creativity, technical knowledge, and a practical understanding of how people actually live in their spaces.

A graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Bahar began her career working hands-on with floor plans, space planning, design development, and project coordination. Today, as Co-Founder of RZ Interiors, she brings that experience to residential and hospitality projects of all sizes.

What matters most to Bahar?

• Function first. A beautiful space still needs to work well every day.
• Smart use of space. Every inch should have a purpose.
• Getting to know the client. The best interiors reflect the people who live in them, not just a particular design style.
• Design that lasts. She focuses on choices that will continue to feel relevant and functional over time.
• Always finding inspiration. Travel, architecture, art, and different cultures continually influence the way she approaches design.

Bahar believes luxury doesn’t have to mean something overly formal or untouchable. For her, it’s about thoughtful details, quality materials, good planning, and creating a space that simply feels right.

Her goal is always the same: to create interiors that look beautiful, work beautifully, and feel personal to the people who call them home.

Shima Radfar

For Shima, design has always started with art.

Long before working in interiors, she spent her high school years studying art and later earned a Bachelor of Visual Arts from Sooreh Art Institution, followed by Interior Design studies at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University).

Today, as Principal Designer and Co-Founder of RZ Interiors, Shima brings that artistic background into the way she approaches every space, from the overall floor plan down to the smallest material detail.

What defines Shima’s approach?

• An artist’s eye. Colour, texture, material, balance, and composition are at the heart of her work.
• Rethinking the floor plan. Shima loves finding opportunities others may not immediately see and creating layouts that make better use of a space.
• Details matter. Proportion, alignment, and how different elements connect can completely change how a room feels.
• Beauty + practicality. A space should look beautiful, but it also needs to make sense for everyday life.
• Designing for the client. Rather than following one particular style, Shima focuses on understanding how each client lives and what they want their home to feel like.
• Inspired by nature. Organic forms, natural materials, light, and the quiet balance found in nature continue to influence her work.

Shima is especially drawn to creating spaces that feel bright, balanced, and thoughtfully put together. Her strength lies in seeing the bigger picture while still noticing the details that can make a design feel complete.

For Shima, a successful interior isn’t simply one that photographs beautifully. It’s a space that feels right when you walk into it, and continues to work beautifully for the people living there.
